It features soft and easy striking arc, minimal spatter and smooth slag removal with uniform weld bead ripples; suitable for all-position welding (flat / horizontal / vertical / overhead), and works well for both thin and thick plates. No carbide precipitation occurs, eliminating intergranular corrosion under long-term corrosive service, delivering far longer service life than conventional 316L and 317L electrodes.

Super austenitic stainless steels: 904L (1.4539), N08904, 1.4563, 1.4529 Corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys: Alloy 825 (N08825, 2.4858) Similar high-alloy plates and pipes: X1NiCrMoCu31-27-4; transition welding matching urea-grade 254SMO Dissimilar metal welding: transition joints between 904L/Alloy 825 and 316L, carbon steel, low alloy steel
