E71T-9C
E71T-9C is a rutile all-position gas-shielded flux-cored wire with stable arc and low spatter. Optimized for low-temperature impact toughness, it suits critical welds on load-bearing steel structures.
Welding Parameters (Φ1.2mm)
Flat/Horizontal: 160~240A, 25~30V
Vertical/Overhead: 130~190A, 23~27V
Wire stick-out: 15–20 mm
Interpass temperature ≤250℃. Preheat to 50~100℃ for plates ≥16mm or welding in low temperature to prevent cold cracking.
Shielding Gas
Standard: 100% CO₂
Alternative: 75~80% Ar + 20~25% CO₂ mixture for less spatter and improved toughness
Recommended gas flow rate: 18–25 L/min.
Wind shielding is required for outdoor welding.
Typical Mechanical Properties
Tensile Strength: 490–670MPa
Yield Strength: ≥390MPa
Elongation: ≥22%
Impact Energy: ≥27J @ -40℃; Typical value 60–90J @ -40℃ for premium quality
Note: Impact values are slightly lower with 100% CO₂ shielding. Use Ar+CO₂ mixture for better toughness.
Features
• Rutile slag system with moderate solidification rate, suitable for all-position welding (flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead).
• Soft and stable arc, smooth metal transfer and low spatter.
• Thin slag, easy removal, good weld wetting and smooth bead appearance.
• Excellent low-temperature impact property and high toughness under high heat input.
• Tolerant to slight rust and oxide scale on workpieces.
• Polarity: DC+ (DCRP).
Base Materials
Low carbon steel, Q235, SS400, A36 and general carbon-manganese steel structures.
