E71T-9M is a gas-shielded, flux-cored welding wire used for all-position carbon steel fabrication, featuring strict toughness requirements and mixed shielding gas compatibility.
Welding Parameters (Φ1.2mm)
Flat/Horizontal: 160~240A, 25~30V
Vertical/Overhead: 130~190A, 23~27V
Wire stick-out: 15–20 mm
Interpass temperature ≤250℃. Preheat to 50~100℃ for plates ≥16mm or welding in low temperature to prevent cold cracking.
Shielding Gas
Standard: 75~80% Ar + 20~25% CO₂ mixture
Recommended gas flow rate: 18–25 L/min.
Wind shielding is required for outdoor welding.
Typical Mechanical Properties
Tensile Strength: 490–670MPa
Yield Strength: ≥390MPa
Elongation: ≥22%
Impact Energy: ≥27J @ -40℃; Typical value 60–90J @ -40℃ for premium quality
Features
· Rutile slag system with moderate solidification rate, suitable for all-position welding (flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead).
· Soft and stable arc, smooth metal transfer and ultra-low spatter.
· Thin slag with easy removal, good weld wetting and smooth bead appearance.
· Outstanding low-temperature toughness and stable performance under high heat input.
· Tolerant to slight rust and oxide scale on workpieces.
· Polarity: DC+ (DCRP).
Base Materials
Low carbon steel, Q235, SS400, A36 and general carbon-manganese steel structures.
