ERCuSi-A is silicon bronze wire for MIG/TIG welding of copper, brass, silicon bronze and galvanized steel. With ~3% Si and trace Mn, Sn, it offers good corrosion resistance and weld pool fluidity.
Composition: 97%–98% Cu, ~3% Si, trace Mn and Sn.
Welding Processes: TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW) and oxy-acetylene welding.
Shielding Gas: 100% pure argon generally used.

Applications

Dissimilar welding: Copper alloys/brass to steel.
Galvanized steel: Suitable for automotive thin sheet MIG welding to reduce zinc loss. Surfacing & repair: Wear-resistant overlay on cast iron, steel and copper alloys.
