ERCoCr-A (Stellite 6) is universal Co-Cr-W hardfacing wire for GTAW and GMAW. It delivers excellent wear & corrosion resistance at high temperature, widely used for valve seats and hot component repair.
Features
· Universal cobalt-based alloy, excellent anti-wear, galling, cavitation and corrosion resistance; retains hot hardness up to 800℃
· Good thermal shock resistance and thermal fatigue performance for high-temperature valve sealing faces
· Good toughness to withstand medium impact load
⚠️ Preheat base metal 150–300℃. Control heat input. Multi-layer overlay is prone to cracking. Avoid wide single-pass surfacing.

TIG (GTAW): DC straight polarity (DC-)
MIG (GMAW): DC reverse polarity (DC+)
Core Properties
Overlay Hardness: 36～45 HRC
· Outstanding hot hardness; retains hardness up to 800℃, preferred for high-temperature applications
· Provides resistance to wear, galling, cavitation and corrosion
· Excellent toughness to withstand moderate impact
· The overlay can be machined using carbide tools
· Resists corrosion from seawater, acids, alkalis and chloride ions
