ER2329 Aluminum Welding Wire
ER2329 (AlCu6.3MnZr) is high-strength aluminum-copper filler wire for welding 2xxx aerospace aluminum alloys.
产品名称 ER5556
ALUMINUM WELDING WIRE (MIG & TIG)
ER2329 (AlCu6.3MnZr) is high-strength aluminum-copper filler wire for welding 2xxx aerospace aluminum alloys.
Key Features: High copper content delivers ultra-high tensile strength, good fatigue performance and high temperature resistance. Caution: Poor seawater corrosion resistance; not suitable for anodized decorative parts; avoid welding 5xxx/6xxx aluminum alloys.
Applicable Standards
AWS A5.10 ER2329(MIG)/ R2329(TIG)
EN ISO 18273:S Al 2329(AlCu6.3MnZr)
Standard Diameter & Packaging
• MIG wires: 0.8/0.9/1.0/1.2/1.6 mm, Standard spools: 0.45kg, 0.5kg, 1kg, 2kg,6 kg, 7 kg
-TIG rods: 2.0/2.4/3.2/4.0/5.0 mm, 1m fixed length, packed in5kg plastic tube and 5kg cardboard box.
Welding Polarity
• MIG (GMAW):DCEP
• TIG (GTAW):AC
Shielding Gas (MIG + TIG)
• Preferred shielding gas: 100% pure Ar. Ar+He mixture is available for thick plates requiring deep penetration.
• Flow rate: MIG 18–25 L/min, TIG 12–18 L/min.
Mechanical Properties of Deposited Metal
• Tensile Strength: 420–470 MPa
• Yield Strength: 280–330 MPa
• Elongation (A5): 10%–15%
• Melting Range: 540–605℃
Key Advantages
• Special matching wire for 2024, 2219, 2329 aerospace aluminum-copper alloys
• Extra high weld strength, excellent fatigue and high-temperature mechanical properties
• Good crack resistance for high-load restrained aerospace structural joints
• Stable arc, controllable spatter and flat weld bead
• Compatible with MIG and TIG, widely used in aviation heavy load components
• Contains Zr element to refine grain and improve joint toughness
Recommended Base Metals
✅ Recommended: 2024, 2219, 2329 Al-Cu aerospace alloys
✅ Dissimilar welding: Various 2xxx aluminum alloy combinations
⚠️ Caution: Weak chloride & seawater corrosion resistance; obvious dark color after anodizing
❌ Do not weld 5xxx high-magnesium or 6xxx aluminum alloys, forming brittle intermetallic compounds and reducing overall performance
Applications
• Aerospace aircraft fuselage, wing and bearing structural parts
• Military high-strength aluminum load-bearing frames and pressure containers
• High-temperature service aluminum structural components
• Aviation fuel tanks, rocket aluminum structural parts
• High-load mechanical aluminum brackets with high strength requirements
