ERCu is deoxidized pure copper wire. It is used for copper matching welding, casting repair, copper-carbon steel joints and anti-corrosion surfacing, applied in busbars, heat exchangers and copper pipelines.
Welding Characteristics
Applicable Processes: TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW)
Polarity: DCEP (DC+) for MIG; DCEN (DC-) for TIG
Low heat input narrow pass recommended for thick copper; control preheat & interpass temperature.

Shielding Gas

TIG: 100% high-purity Argon
MIG: 100% Argon preferred; 75%Ar+25%He optional for thick plates
Back purging required for root welds against oxidation.
Typical Mechanical Properties (As-Welded)
Tensile Strength: ≥200MPa
Elongation: ≥29%
